I know a few of you have bought farms out in Canada and I wondered whether you had registered for a Business Number and were GST registered prior to purchasing your property. We are at the final stages of purchasing a working farm and have completed the forms to get the above registrations, which will save about $17,000. Who else did this as a non-resident and did you come across any problems?
