You should still stop in at the post office/outlet and pick up the package as it has the envelope with the address on it. :)

Next year you will be able to file online. :D

Good job can't do that this year or I suspect my filing it online will consist of drop kicking the laptop through the living room window:frown:

Buy a Quicktax package. $19 from Walmart, you will probably only need the basic one (waits to get flamed by everyone). The "Easy Steps" walks you through the forms and you can then print them off - job done :thumbsup:

Or if you bank with RBC they do a link to (I think) Quick Tax and you only pay $15. Fill em in and print em off. Then post them - I have forgotten to do this actual bit...which funnily enough is probably the most important bit...!

At the risk of wandering further off topic and stating the obvious.

When printing out your copy to mail make sure you print a copy for your own records.

Also even if you file online print out a copy for yourself.

Not a good idea to keep only an electronic copy on your computer, even backed up to disk is not that great.

Unless Quick Tax has changed recently only the copy for the year of the tax return is capable of allowing you to look at or print that particular return. So you must keep the software for the seven year period.

I hope that made sense. :unsure:

I feel such a retard as there have been so many threads about tax returns and I completely ignored all of them thinking - well they won't apply to me I have an employer :(

So sorry guys for you having to type this info out for the squillionth time, I think today has been a mixture of pms and dead people.

I need some rum and coke - hold the coke.

Maybe, but she's a stranger, so what do I know, she may be deranged anyway. She's a very upset lady, fer sher. Maybe she should have done her homework a bit better? Like they keep going on about on this site. Her fault, not ours.

Thinking that prices might increase reasonably.

Property tax 2005 = $1400
2006 = $1700 (21% increase)
2007 = $1900 (11% increase)
2008 = $2050 (8% increase)

That 8% increase this year almost seems a relief.

Now you sound really smart.............so even you should know you can only research so much. Asking the relevant questions you would expect to get appropriate answers.....how do you know, at that stage, they are lies? Further.......you cannot know what the inhabitants of a place are like until you live amongst them. A few weeks reccie doesn't cut it, as we discovered.....so please, less with the smug "Her fault, not ours". It's no-one's fault.........just life. Having lived here for several years, back in the 80's, I can tell you, it was nothing like this.

So many people planning and hoping to come to Canada are filled with the notion that Canadians are so friendly, so welcoming.....it ain't necessarily so!

Oh - and Avril Lavigne tickets? :eek:

I don't think there is any need to be so abusive and swear so much. I was merely stating that you should stop complaining (typical English wimpy person that you are). As for being smug. HAHAHA, you're the smug <>.

Thanks.

You don't want the Avril Lavigne tickets then?

Abusive? Swearing? What right do you have to call me a "smug <>"....that is extremely offensive.......if it was meant as a joke, it doesn't work. :ohmy:

oooh what was the b word!? I don't think its meant seriously - its Steve666 we're talking about here - many things get misconstrued online as you can't hear the tone of voice.

Unless i'm wrong and Steve you are a calous, heartless b*****d (that begins with b too look!) ;)

Oh Mandy, (that's a part of a song isn't it?) I am a callous heartless bigoted hateful rank athiest knob bar steward. What did I call her? It began with a "b"? Good lord. I stand berated, which also starts with a b. I am also a tree with green leaves and birds stand on my branches and sing, and stuff.

Her name suits though doesn't it. Old bag.

I'm sure you can work out the word in question........I don't care if it was an attempt at humour - it was an offensive comment to make, and completely out of order. Just because Steve666 is known for his "humour" does not excuse offensive language. Yes, many things do get misconstrued when you can't hear the tone of voice......all the more need to exercise caution and courtesy. :frown:

Usually telling people to lighten up means you have lost the argument.
Why don't you try offering sympathy to someone who is obviously unhappy where she is living? Do you know the town? Life doesn't always work the way you plan it. Research can go wrong.
Why are you being so scabby about this?

I'm not arguing. http://www.love-sessions.com/arguing.htm So I haven't lost anything.

I've been severely dealt with over this, BE fashion. Thanks for all the karma I got connected with this thread though, it's over 3,000 points in the last 2 days!!!

I'm considering targeting someone else, someone my own size. Anyone out there around 6 foot 5 inches and weighs 19 stone? (266 pounds Merikan).

What exactly has Oldbag said to provoke such rudeness? She has simply made a statement about her situation in Canada, you've responded in a particularly nasty way, then tried to make her responsible! Shame on you! :frown:

Listen Steve, you might be a really funny guy, and have this great adulation following considering all the karma you seem to have gotten in praise for you attitude directed at oldbag, but I'm telling you now, I know this woman very well, she's a great friend, a fantastic lady with a wicked sense of humour herself. Both her AND her husband have been dealt a bad deck of cards with the area they moved to.....and yes, I also know the area she lives in too as I lived down the road from it. Just cos where you live is great and super-friendly, doesn't mean its the same for everyone. There are people living in areas of Canada that are having a crap time, and all was not as it was supposed to be.

"Oldbag"......take my advice love, don't post in the Canada forum from now on, you just don't get any sympathy. Remember, these people "love" the country or are trying to move here, and therefore, they don't want to read from anyone with negative comments. Stick to the MBTTUK forum where you will be much more welcome.

"See you" next week when you get back from the UK.
