Hi all

Where or how would you recommend to exchange foreign currency into CAD. Should I take it to my bank or a forex outlet? I know the rate may not be as good as an online transfer but anything close would be good enough. Thanks.

How much do you have - if it's less than $50 it'd barely be worth the effort to change it. I'd either try to find someone directly who has a use/need for the currency, or stick it in a jam jar and keep it to use in future yourself.

No, its a little bit more than $50 I'd struggle to find a jam jar big enough for it

In that case I'd look at rates posted on-line, but bear in mind that rates for physical currency are horrible. .... Consider yourself lucky if you get with 5% of the mid-rate, (the average of buy and sell rates, which most people think of as "the exchange rate".)
