I think you might be quite a fair drive from the sea in Alberta!

Lethbridge has got a big river running through it and its a lovely city, we are moving to Raymond which is just outside it, look carefully into any rural area that you consider to avoid any unexpected surprises.

EDIT:

as a matter of fact if you look on my blog, look in June and find "Destination Raymond" that should give you a little insight into Country Livin', Warner County style.

Lyndon, when you play a Country Music song backward, you get your job back, your wife back, your truck back, your dog back etc.

Errm........might one suggest that a little study of Canadian geography would be of value to the potential immigrant?

Lyndon beat me to suggesting Lethbridge - only cos I happen to love the town. No sea OBVIOUSLY but beaut scenery and lots of places near by to go visit the mountains.

And BTW Howard - I dont sing country music and dont hear that much of it played in the town so maybe I will be husbandless when I eventually go for good.

Try Sylvan Lake for the Sea. Well, a very small sea. A small lake actually. But still a nice place.

Lethbridge is a microcosm, one of the few places in Alberta with deciduous trees.

Doesn't like C&W Music, is nothing sacred.

A Pick Up truck in Alberta is called a Prairie Cadillac.

Tell you what OP - go to the east side of the country where Howard is.

He seems to promote it fairly well and slag everywhere else off

geez Burton, you haven't even landed and already you're arguing with the natives?

Watch yourself in Ab, they like guns and don't much cotton to strangers from the East telling them what to do.
