Good for them
Got told this evening by a Canuck that Britain is now the fattest country in the world.. (bear with me; relevance on the horizon) so off I pootle to the WHO website to look at cholesterol and BMI measurements and predictions for the next decade or so and 'lo and behold. Not only are Canada's mean cholesterol rates, and obesity rates higher than the UK's (mean BMI is the same) but diabetes is more prevalent too.
I still want to go like, I need to put some weight on anyway.
So what's the criteria then? Crime? Corruption levels in Govt? Incidences of pretty landscapes?

Dont worry about the weight...that takes care of itself once you get here. You need some bluber to withstand the winter I find...and a seasonal beard affectation.

I just read some of the G&Ms readers reactions :scared: Apparently its all a scheme by those pinko UN types to promote socialism...and besides...who'd want to live in any of those frozen Scandinavian countries anyway
(Australia anyone!!!)
Makes me proud to be a fair weather Canadian.
A rather surprising number of US residents seem to read or at least comment on G&M stories...but I guess from a US perspective its a left wing media outlet!

These rankings are great for me though! I'm Irish, with plenty of ties to Iceland and I'm living in Canada, I must be ranked by the UN as one of world best citizens then

The five countries with the lowest scores were Guinea-Bissau in 173rd place, Burkina Faso as 174, Mali as 175, Sierra Leone as 176, and Niger 177. The report was unable to rank 17 countries, such as Iraq, Afghanistan and Somalia, because there was insufficient data.
The first sentence doesn't surprise me in the least but the second one does.
Iraq? Afghanistan? Somalia?
Hard to rank?
