Default Benecol or equivalent

My mother is arriving today (4hrs late courtesy of BA- originally on ZOom, her flights to canada are doomed clearly)

She asked me to get Benecol yogurty things for her. I think this is some sort of cholesterel reducing semi-medicine/food.

Have looked in Safeway- no luck. Does it sell here?

A Google suggests that some Benecol products are sold in the USA but nothing indicating Canadian availability.

My folks also asked us to get them those Benecol Yogurty things too when they stayed back in the summer - we tried Safeway, Sobeys and Superstore with no luck. All they seemed to have were those yop drinks with the "friendly" bacteria.

Sorry I'm not much help, but let us know if you do find them!

It's a hot item for the parents it seems as my mother in law wanted it when she was here the other week. I couldn't find it or anything like it.

Just tell the old dear that she will have to abstain from anything with cholestorol in it while she is here (over Christmas I assume)

I think its not nearly the same. Benecol has some sort of plant ester that is proven to reduce cholsterol. Its not a probiotic as such . the yoghurty thing is just about making it palatable.
