BC97 hwy. between vancouver and prince george...
anything to stop and do on the way? its a 10.5 hr drive so will need to stop and get food and stretch legs a bit ( travelling with dog, nearly 2yo, 10yo and 12yo. )
is it just miles and miles of scenery? ( which isnt bad for me, i love that but kids will be bored to tears)
thanks in advance.

i know from previous threads cash is tight but is there anyway you could do a flight for $150 each? an hour up there will save a lot of heartache and probably isn't that much more expensive

its not the cassh, our dog is too big to fly to PG in his box so itd mean buying another box in van thats smaller, so the airline would carry him.
we are used to long road trips drove from southampton to venice once, and regularly drive the 500 miles to scotland, so thats no biggie. kids are used to it.
just wondered if there was anywhere along the way to schedule a stop that kids can get out and run about at. touristy etc is fine. and scottish fish and chips... hmm wonder if he has mars bars

Hell's Gate is about 2 hours out of Vancouver. Probably about the (first) time the kids start to get restless.

The visitor centre at 100 mile house will be OK for a break and maybe a picnic.

Fraser Canyon has lots to see (Hells Gate is in the canyon), great picnic places. Out of the canyon, so long as you like trees its OK. If you have time for a detour, go off to Barkeville, it is a old gold rush town. Williams lake or Quesnel are places to stop for lunch, but not much else there, certainly not for sightseeing.
A nice drive to do once.
