No double dipping and all.
Disability allows 9600 a year to be earned.

I know what our exemptions are, however not all income is exempt.

Last year when I received EI, every thing I got from EI was deducted dollar for dollar from BC ministry in the disability amount, so in the end the amount we received EI + PWD was the same as just PWD alone.

No double dipping, and frankly those on PWD should be exempt from EI premiums if we can't access EI without it affecting PWD income.

I can apply for EI, but it won't add any income since the BC government will claw back the amount EI gives.

(Unless things have changed since last year.)

For a couple the exemption from income and other sources is 19,200

EI is federal, Disability is Provincial. CPP disability comes of provincial disability as well. Students under 18 cannot claim EI, but still have to pay it, as well as employers contribution.

I am aware EI is federal and PWD, not sure what your trying to say.

I was just saying no point to EI if on PWD because BC government doesn't allow double dipping, if you get EI they deduct the amount from your PWD, so if on BC PWD there is no point to claim it, there is no financial advantage and then you have to drive monthly to Vancouver as well to sign papers each and every month.

Went through it last year.
