BBC tv - how do you get it in Canada?

My husband and I are big fans of the BBC. The documentaries are great and the lack of advertisements is an added bonus. How would one access these channels in Canada? Would it require a satellite dish or is available in any cable package in Canada? Has anyone managed to get these channels?

This is a regularly answered question on this forum. Soemone will correct me if I am wrong. You cannot access British BBC channels via satelite or otherwise. BBC Canada is a channel that is part of pacakages available via your cable/satellite in Canada.
For previous discussions on this subject just type BBC into the forum search engine. :)

We have Shaw Cable here in Edmonton. They carry BBC Canada, BBC World & BBC Kids (a mix of Cbeebies & CBBC). You won't get as much variety as you do in the UK with BBC1, 2, 3 & 4, but they do have shows that cater for everyone. I was watching Spooks last night before I came to bed (loved that show in the UK!).

Wonderful - Little Britain - I would be lost without it.... although the last season is coming to an end.

Our son downloads any British shows on his PC and puts them on discs so he can watch them anytime.

Personally I couldn't care less :D
