In the past,i have tested Dns and VPN services for watch UK TV but i have hated them. I'm not a tech savy person and i find the process too complicated. I have joined a cheap IPTV service and now i am able to watch sky uk without problem and vpn. I can watch on my Pc or on my ipad(i love watch EPL games on the go).
But i don't know why Sky doesn't want create a service in others countries like canada because i don't like do illegal stuff when i know i can pay for the best service.

If you use chrome download an extension called "Hola"
It's free, simple to use and works with IPlayer just fine, haven't tried 4OD yet.

Since turning to Unotelly I have no buffering issues at all. I even watch a lot of live BBC without buffering. They give you 7 day trail and also a month free if you like them on Facebook, or something like that.

I've been trying out the Filmon this last 2 weeks as although i can stream using Hola it does have days when the buffering is just plain shite and makes watching a simple 30 minute program a joke.
I have been recording programs on Filmon then downloading and saving to PC which makes viewing just perfect everytime without fail.

I had BBC iplayer on my (Canadian purchased) ipad and found I could only access a small number of programmes for free - but then found if I went onto the website for Springwatch, I could watch their programmes and it also gave me an option onto other BBC programmes via the usual iplayer page, so seemed to be a back door into the system - we do have a proxy server though but I couldn't get the ipad to easily recognize it.
I am currently in the UK and it was suggested that I download iplayer here instead, as I think one of you was going to do. However that doesn't work - ironically it just comes up with an message saying iplayer is not available in this country!

We have unotelly set up at the router level so all devices behind the router show as UK for iPlayer, and that includes the app.

Incidentally, Doctor Who was available very quickly yesterday.
(I'd already seen it, mind

The router? No, router is fine even through power outages, the router doesn't reset itself... have had unotelly set up for about six months now and have watched plenty of stuff on the iPlayer app...no problems at all!

Each time we have a power cut, even for a split second, it resets itself... very frustrating. As I'm useless at these things I have to wait for hubby to sort it out. Maybe we're doing it wrong?

You maybe need a different router.... I can recommend a few that definitely work!

I use exspress VPN, it works worldwide and you can choose your location for the VPN to use... Such as UK, US or any other country
