Baggage/travel insurance
Hi,
I am trying to find some insurance that will cover me for bring expensive electrical equipment over when I emigrate.
So far I have found one company that will cover each person’s baggage for £3,000 but a maximum of £300 for a single item, which isn't enough.
Does anyone know of an insurer who offers this?
Thanks

Re: Baggage/travel insurance
You could air freight your equipment over on Air Transat Cargo, for example (it can come on the same flight as you) - they offer separate insurance which is likely higher than you would get with a normal travel insurance.
LeisureCargo: The Total Air Cargo Management Experts
If you go to their 'contact' page and select UK, then the nearest airport, it gives the email address and phone number - you could give them a call and find out what the limits are on insurance.

Cargo insurance also covers to final destination, travel insurance ends when you and your bags arrive at the destination airport.
