I need to call them as I was counting on taking a second bag for £65 going off what the website says.

I'm going on a return ticket as I already had that booked due to planning a week holiday at this time anyway prior to having the PR approved. Fortunately it was only £280 :)

Hi, I am also travelling with Canadian Affair next week, and thought the same, cause I understood and called couple of times to confirm than an extra bag is £65,I've been kind of worrying but I think the above should be right....

We came out with Canadian affair last week and they are strict on their weights. We had 3kg over on our hold bags (1kg each) and they weigh hand luggage too mine was 8.6kg as I had a lot of paperwork and a laptop I had 2 squeeze some in my case thankfully the cases were weighed before I put the extra in. We were not charged for our extra I imagine there is a percentage of leeway in their allowance but others were queuing to pay!

If you look at Air Transat/Canadian Affair flights, I would consider the Premium/Club upgrade as that gives extra luggage allowance in both hand and hold luggage.

If you want to have some items shipped and available sooner than items via sea. You could consider sending some items via air cargo service which can be as cheap as £1.50 per kg (depending upon airline/cargo company) and could be available soon after you arrive subject to time in customs.

*I am flying to Toronto in July with air transat, i upgraded to premium which allows 40kg luggage plus 15kg hand luggage!

Do you know the name of the cheap airline/cargo company please?

Air Transat (for flight and upgrade to premium) and Air Transat Cargo - then the items come on the same flight as you, but be aware you have to go to a separate area of the airport (Cargo) to clear customs and collect at least 2 hours after the flight has landed.
