Default Background Check - Expiry?

Hello everyone....

A quick question for all, hopefully one or more of you will know the answer.

I am waiting for 6/28 to submit a PR application under the new guidelines, but I want to ensure that I am ready to submit as soon as possible thereafter.

Do criminal background checks, specifically those issued by the FBI office in West Virginia as well as U.S. state police certificates, expire? Of course, if I was CIC, I wouldn't want a 2 year old certificate, but are certificates always valid for a certain period (i.e. 12 months, like the medical)?

I can't seem to find this info on the CIC website, and the call centre was not helpful.

Thanks!
McGill

CIC requires to submit police certificates which are not older than 6 months.
