Back From Calgary Today - Snow is falling
#1
Hi All,
Just back from Calgary.
Stayed at the Delta Bow Valley, great hotel, good location.
Weather was pretty good considering the time of year but it did snow heavy yesterday/today.
What can I say....no disrespect to the Brits but they have alot to learn about customer service skills the canadians are just brill, nothing is too much trouble and they are prepared to go that extra mile to help. To be honest I could praise Canada on many things but I won't go on as you need to make your own opinions.
We did some networking with results, met some wonderful people and look at properties.
Lets just say that I was very sad to leave so roll on visa or someone give just me a job.

You are feeling exactly how my wife and I felt when we came back to the UK from Calgary this time last year. We've been here now since August 07 and for the most part loving it!
Have patience, all good things come to those who wait! Best of luck!

Also just got back from Calgary today, and have to agree 100%.
Living/working in Manchester, the biggest shock was not feeling the blood boiling when trying to get through downtown- everything was much more quite/relaxed/calm.
That was only our first recce but it's very much strengthened our resolve to get over there sooner rather than later.

I drive down the M1 everyday and I was stuck for 4 1/2hrs a couple of weeks ago so Canadian driving is bliss.
I have travelled the world and never felt so at home than I do in Canada as stupid as this sounds I don't have these feelings in the UK>
