OK, maybe I shouldnt admit to watching this crap on a public forum, but I feel compelled to vent.
For those that dont watch it, the general premise is that this single dad is looking for a new wife. He's given a selection of "beautiful" girls and has to whittle them down week by week.
For those that do watch it, isnt this the most immoral program ever invented?
Last night, he was down to the last 3 girls. All 3 clearly have strong feelings for this douche bag (including once from right here in Alberta), and the program has spent the entire season showing us how great this guy is. Yes, OK, he's a single dad, but there are other qualifying factors surely? Like, monogomy for instance?
Anyways, all these women live together in the same house while he wines and dines them all. Last nights episode had him and the last 3 girls whisked away to New Zealand for a week of romance.
So, here they are, all 3 girls professing their undying love for while he;s unable to make a decision until he's spent the night with them all. Without fail, each one of them hop in to his bed, knowing he was sleeping with another only the night before. Then, as the week draws to a close, the women are lined up like it's some kind of pageant, and then he sends one packing.
As a dad to two young girls myself, I find the whole show to be completely wrong. First of all, if this guy was so great, why is he deliberately hurting these girls, on national TV, with all their so called intimate moments broadcast for all their families to see? Take last night for instance, he didnt need to bed all 3 of them. It's obvious which one he likes the most. I'm sure a lot of guys would love to sleep about with various women with no repurcussions, but not guys that are put on a pedestal as the catch of the century?
As for the girls, do they not have any self esteem whatsoever? One of the girls parents refused to meet this pratt, and I dont blame 'em. If my daughter ever brought someone home, who was dating 2 others too (even if he had my daughters permission) I'd deck him before he got a foot in the door.
Well, that's my rant over. I dont even watch it anyway...

The above reasons you stated are exactly why I decided not to watch it. I find it quite amusing that in a country that won't allow you to hear Tony Soprano F bomb, they show horror movies during the day and also allow moral prostitution like you mention......funny old world - eh?

Wow, I had the exact same debate with my wife last night. His lines are so choreographed! I have a running bet with my wife that he repeats the same lines week in week out when he "gently" let's one of the girls down.
Load of tosh, he is making a mockery of these girls, interestingly enough though, funny how one of the girls family refuses to have anything to do with the show!
My wife thinks I am slightly jealous and would love to be in his shoes with a pick of beautiful women swooning over me!

I couldn't quite believe it when he said he was going to bed them all.
I suppose he wants to make sure he gets a girl that is good in bed before he marries them.
I hate it how he wants them to pour out their hearts to him, he wants them to give him everything and he hardly gives back. Untill last night that is

I have no idea why I watch it, hubby hates it. I also love "13 fear or not"

Yep, an unbelievable piece of television - but it must be doing something right, it's been on for several seasons now and has been shown around the world. Sad that these women all throw themselves at the mercy of some guy. So far I believe there has been one marriage from previous seasons, but I'm sure the rest ended in tears.

And let's not have any 'poor girls' nonsense; this has been around for a few years now and the participants knows exactly how it works. They run 'The Bachelorette' too and the exact same thing plays out at the end of that series.
He's a dunce for sending the Canadian home, she and her family in Kelowna came across the best of the final few in my humble opinion.
Molly for the win.

To be fair, in the average relationship you'd have a lot of bonking to establish compatibility before you got to the point of marriage - this chap is supposed to propose after only a couple of weeks of not-particularly-intimate group socialising, so it seems only sensible!

I'd laugh if he finally makes his choice, and then the girl concerend says, "no thanks mate, you can only last 3 minutes
" Now that would be a little poetic justice me thinks
