Please advise me on my case

I have already worked in canada on post grad EA and now on visitor visa. I applied on 13th Dec 2001and got my File number on 4rth Feb which states they will get back to me in 30 weeks, i.e. by the end of this month.

After reading these forums it looks like its taking much more time than that now. Yet I have good as well as bad stories about immigration process time periods. Please can you advise me by giving an educated guess. Can I expect to get the initial assessment by end of this month or now have the time periods changed for all applicants? Do people who have studied and worked in Canada get some kind of preference in case handling.

I will really appreciate your response
Thanks
Raman

I think you dont have any advantage. and mr. andrew cant give u an educated guess as canadian high commision doesnt work like that. there are many ppl who have taken that educated guess and have spolit everything. by the way what r u doing these days. dont spoil ur chances by doing anything silly in this time peiod(u understand what i mean).

my guess is that its taking 45-60 weeks now.
