Assiniboia, SK?
#1
Hi Folks,
I'm looking at accepting a job offer in Assiniboia, SK. I'll be working as a new grad vet and after speaking to the employer it sounds like a fantastic opportunity to gain lots of experience! They're applying for an LMO now
I was wondering if anyone has been to this town, or lives in the surrounding area? I've been trying to look for rental properties online but can't seem to find much.
I know it's very remote, but at least it's within a reasonable distance from Moose Jaw and Regina.
Any opinions appreciated!
Thanks

Hi there, I have been trying to find accommodation but as you say, it's thin on the ground!
You might find this website useful for seeing what the area is like:

Hi Siouxie,
Thanks for that - I had seen that website already and according to that, there's plenty for sale in the area (really really cheap too!) but I just can't find any sites with rental property
I also found a link to a local weekly paper (Prairie Trade ‘n’ Post) with one or two for-rent ads, but that's it!
Either way, prices are cheap which is good
it'd just be nice to see a few photos and a bit more of a selection.

The population is about 2300 or so. I would not expect a large choice in the rental market.
