Hi folks.
Just a quick question about articling for graduate law students in Canada. Can a student do this in one province and then practice in another? Sounds like a stupid question, but hey, if you're not sure about something - ask! haha
Thanks
William

Sorry I cant answer your question - just wanted to say "Hi: from a former Norn Iron girl, from South Down.
I'm sure someone intelligent will be along soon to answer your question (I hope).

Hey Alison.
No worries, thanks for the comment. It's nice to know that there are some iron iron people are out!

Definately! Haven't had my sunglasses on very often in the past 6 months that's for sure.haha As for the visa process...I haven't. Right now i'm in the middle of my degree and just doing loads of research. I'm thinking Bunac for a year on the student visa straight after i finish up with uni, and whilst i'm out there i would love a job in a law firm, either just as a clerk or assistant or something like that to get my feet wet, and get my degree accredited, and if i decide to stay (more than likely!!) then i will have to take some exams to help me get qualified as a solicitor. I only read in another message today that the rules for bunac have changed slightly, so you can now do each visa (student/non student) right after each other, which would seem logical. The immigration process is mad, so many different things to consider, i'm not even sure what my other options would be after my first year on Bunac...any advice?

I just took a look, it seems that if you have a job whilst with bunac it is possible to get a temporary work permit and then eventually upgrade to PR!

FlirtyKnickers are you looking into Canada also? And yeah, that a pretty nice "cool day". We're going to struggle for those temps here

Lucky you. Congrats! I've got family in Newmarket, Ontario, about 40mins north of Toronto, so i'm going to start off there and work my away around hopefully. What about you? Did your PR take long?

WHAT...the sun is shining in NI...never heard anything as ridiculous
