Default Applications Etc..

Hi there,

As I'm a new member to this site I hope you will forgive the dumb question I'm about to ask.

My husband and I are considering very deeply on the thought of moving over to Canada. Can anybody tell me what happens after you submit the initial forms and fee?

There have been several bits and pieces of info from the forum that I have gathered on different subjects. When do you have medical checks? What's involved in police checks? Do you go though all this before going over to Canada? Has eveybody failed a medical, or not got in form a police check?

I did say I was new................ Can anybody give my some ideas please?

Start here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/

At that site you can find out about the different ways to immigrate to Canada and get an idea about whether or not you would qualify as a skilled worker - which is probably the route you are considering.

Also contained at that site are all of the forms and details about medicals and everything else you will need to make an application.

I would recommend investing a few hours getting into that site. There is also a newsgroup dedicated to Canadian immigration if you have specific questions:

There are some very knowledgeable people on that group and it might be worth looking through the old posts on there too.
