I am just about ready to submit my application to London but the Application Guide has not yet been uploaded onto the CIC website, nor is it yet available on the London website. Does anyone have any idea how long we must wait before it appears?
I don't want to send off my application until I know for sure that the guidance given in the Guide has been adhered to. Do you think it is just a matter of days now or could it be months?!!

Well, I already downloaded it on the 28th from the CIC website and I didn't have any
problems finding it.
It does contain some interesting new information so you should get it before you
submit. I was waiting for it too and now I have to get new information I didn't
need before.
Back to the drawing board.

Which (class of) application guide are we talking about here? I am applying as a common-law partner from the UK and in the 'region specific' information list, I selected 'West Europe' but there is no mention of the UK in the list of countries it covers...so I was wondering about that.
I was also surprised to see that the UK isn't on the list of countries requiring a police clearance, as before now, every Brit I have spoken to has obtained a police cert. in the usual manner. I'm wondering if it has changed under the new law.
And I agree; the UK/London website is *embarrassingly* outdated and has been, ever since I have been researching emigration!!
Cheers,
Claire

I am applying as a Skilled Worker and this is the page I am referring to on the CIC website:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/skilled/notice.html
It states that the new application guide is still not available.
Does anyone have any idea how much longer we will have to wait?

Why don't you just follow the navigation bar on the left on the main CIC web page?
If it is too difficult for you then try this:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/skilled/index.html
Then click on "How to Apply" or follow the link below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/skilled/how-1.html
When there then click on "Step One: Collecting the necessary documents:" or follow
the link below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/skilled/how-2.html
Can you see it now? It was not that difficult, was it?

Mr Andrew
Very many thanks for your guidance but your sarcastic 'tone' definitely needs working on!
