Our LMO was applied for in June 06, and we got a positive response in August 06. We applied for skilled worker in March 05 and this seems to have progressed our application as we are going for our medicals next week, and judging from other posters, our passport requests shouldn't be much longer than that....I hope!!!!!! Hopefully be in Vancouver by january 2007!!!!

Do you mean LMO or AEO?

The reason I ask is beacuse I'm waiting for an LMO, and was hoping to fast track my application if positive. Applied for skilled worker in Jan 06, and LMO (2 year with perm job once a PR) in July 06.

No its LMO..3 year contract for mrs robbo. the employer isn't aware that our PR application is whizzing through the system. I must admit it is common sense to progress the PR because they can get one off the books as they know we will be seeking PR anyway. i think it has fast tracked our application although some people disagree on the forum..but who can second guess the CIC?????

It certainly makes sense, but where CIC's involved I'm not taking anything for granted !!

Did you ask for fast tracking once LMO was granted??

No we just sent all the letters by registered post to the CIC London including our file number and hey presto...they started asking for photos. i told Mrs Robbo that they would be for the medical forms and I was right..our ugly mugs were all on the forms when they asked for us to complete medicals. i now have to get house valuation to prove our funds for the application process which i've been told will be £200...more money!!!

People may disagree that it makes a difference but we are in the same boat. CHC told us in Feb 06 to expect out case to be reviewed by the end Dec 2006. We submitted positive LMO in July and got medical requests for PR through instead of a medical request for Mrs Stuarty for her Work Permit. Passport Request arrived on Saturday I made sure I updated them at every turn including one letter pointing out the obvious in gentle terms. i.e WP being processed, PR being processed, similar timescales(wee white lie) wil I need the WP? Seems to have worked a treat.
