Anyone Interested in a get together?
#1
Just wondering (probably easier said then done these days given everyones schedule) ..but would anyone be interested in a meet in the GTA area one evening (say at a local pub).
Perhaps it might be a way for some of the more "established" folk help some of the newcomers and a good way to network

Ray,
What a great idea, but I will have to say no. It is scary enough coming on here never mind meeting everyone in person LOL!!!!!
I am on a horsey forum and they have arranged us a massive get-together but it is a different type of forum....loads of pleasantries and weird but wonderful folk.

How do you get a Local pub in the GTA....
From Burlington on the west to Pickering on the east....
Its down town or nothing and all the parking fun that goes with it....
Mind you if you do go ahead... I'd suggest a bar that's easy to find and the best one that comes to mind would be the Hard Rock cafe... simply because it next to the CN tower and Sky dome.... Just don't pick a night with the Baseball....

Isn't the hard rock near the Pantages theater / North End of Eaton Center? I thought the one by the CN tower was a planet holywood? It was last time I was there (a few years ago now).

There is always another way, if more people are coming from the east, then people from the west will have to go east, vice-versa. Fair-dos no, and parking is cheap on the eastside?

Yep well it depends where everyone is coming from, whatever makes makes more sense to hold it centrally or on West /East side

I would love to meet up with the ONT lot when I come out later in the year for a look-see. Hopefully some of you will still be around, including those who gasp in horror at my view of the West. All experiences and opinions will be soaked up with interest

Remember the one is leicester square, and the fashion cafe?

No point having the best venue and nobody finding it....
Otherwise I'd recommend some of the bars of Queens Quay.. very pleasent if a little posh...overlooking the lake, again easy to find off lakeshore.. and plenty of parking.....
However on of the best bars that I remember is the Esplanade Bier Markt ... great beer.. owned and run under guidance from Interbrew...
