You can muck about with UKTI & the High Commission as much as, and as long as you like. Neither will advise you/tell you what you need to actually be eligible to immigrate. You should have a good look at CIC for your possible options & requirements.

As for the "Canadian" school system: several of us have tried to point out to you that it's provincially governed. And that your "project"/ideas are dead in the water as you have so far presented it/them & and your marketing 'plan'.

I have no clue why you are asking about travelling times between school districts? Do you mean school boards? Which province? Let me give you an example: locally I can cross the road from one school to another (30 second walk) and have changed school board...

TL: DR : I don't think you are asking the right questions/researching in the right places ...

I agree with this. Come to the conference, do your research (and by that I mean in terms of the paperwork/process you need to be in Canada for what you want to do) and take it from there.

I think what people are trying to say is that the visa bit of the equation is a heck of a lot more difficult to acquire these days. Canada is not in the best of economic shapes and so just wanting up come here generally just isn't enough. Most people need a firm job offer with a LMIA to back it up. If you want to do your own thing, this creates a whole new set of challenges. Good luck with your research and investigating though. There are fair few knowledgeable people on this forum who I'm sure will be happy to offer you the benefit of their wisdom.

It seems that each province operates very, very differently
i am interested in British Columbia and it seems that school boards can be contacted directly there and where school boards are located in school districts

see post links of school districts by Siouxie also.

Yes, they do.

School boards within a province can and do operate differently too. To give you a couple of examples from adjacent school boards in my province:
- 1 has a formal & excellent program to support homeschooling, the other actively discourages it - & even goes so far as to mislead parents with erroneous legal information about homeschooling.

- the latter has a very good mental health/"wellness" program in its schools, with both individual & group counselling & access in-schools to specialised professionals. The other has a severe lack thereof.
