Hello all

Just wondering if anyone else is on Canadian Affairs flight to the Uk on Friday, arriving Manchester Saturday morning.

I am off there for three weeks, a week in Portugal with the family. then a week chillin out. And then a week to see if the UK is a viable move back option.

Had visitors who travelled back to the UK last week. Would you like to know when last weeks Canadian Affair Friday Calgary to Manchester flight actually arrived in Manchester?

I heard about that, did they tell them what happened?

I had friends that came back to canada on the Sunday flight, no issues there

Apparently passengers boarded the aircraft Friday afternoon as normal and during the final checks a fault on one of the engines was detected. Initially they were told the fault would be fixed and they would go early hours Saturday morning. However, they couldn't fix the fault and apparently Rolls Royce technicians had to be flown from the UK to fix it and they left Sunday 11am or so arriving Manchester about 1am Monday morning. Thomas Cook did provide hotel rooms for them.

Not going to the UK but anyone coming from gatwick to Toronto on the 29th?
