Default Anyone ever used Hotwire.com?

I know this is a bit of a random question for this forum, but has anyone ever used hotwire.com to book a hotel room and what was your experience of it? I like the prices they are offering, just not keen on the idea of waiting until I've paid to find out the name of the hotel.

Thanks,

Trish

Can you not cancel the deal if you decide you don't like the hotel? I know many many moons ago my Mum and Dad did a family trip to Ibiza where you didn't find out about the hotel until you got there, it was fine.

We've used hotwire before and never had any problems. However, we prefer priceline.com, which is a similar type of service, but tells you the name of the hotel in advance.

I've used hotwire on numerous occasions too, if your not particularly bothered where you stay on a specific street then its a good deal. It just gives you a general idea where you might be staying.

Hotwire used to be amazing in 2001-2005. I would get a flight for 40% off or more, or get a rental car for cheap! I got a flight to Las Vegas for under $13. from ONT! Alas those days are gone. Today I use priceline with much better results. Hotwire typically matches the lowest prices in Expedia.
