Just wondering whether anyone has actually gone through these steps and whether anyone has any success (or failure) to report ...?

i used to do this for a living ! but on the bank side.
its easy to put in a claim.
you just need to get the last 5 years statements,(if you dont have them its 10 quid from the bank) work out exactly what the charges are you wish to claim, call the banks complaint number, they send you the paperwork you send back the claim and it will get logged and put on hold until the test case is finished. if you are suffering financial hardship you can claim that and they will deal with the case now.
there is no need to fill in letters or use an external company. its simple
oh and i managed to get over 7k back from a miss sold endowment policy from the bank i worked for.

Yeah I did this a few years ago with overdrawn charges, late payment fees etc... ( i was young) I got it all back.
I also filed a P50 I think it was when I left UK, sent in p45 and they gave me about £600 in tax rebates.
