Default Anybody that could help?

Weve fallen in love with Canada. My husband works around the world and were based in the UK and are British. We want to base ourselves in Canada as we have family there, my sister has full residency and is married to a canadian.

Is this possible? Are there visas available for this? We have 4 children also. In a few years hed look at getting a job in Canada but wed like to base ourselves out there before that.

Ive searched the internet and can not find the information i need, can anyone help?

Thank you .

I did check there first, but i cant see anything that shows we could. I see theres some provinces that allow other relatives to sponser you, with that im assuming there will be set things that we need to do?

I just cant seem to find anywhere thats similar to our situation.

Its not your situation that counts, lots of people want to move to canada.

Its your qualifications and work experience that count if your sister isnt in a position to sponsor you via a PNP.

Try this website:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp

It tells you about all the visa's available.

You take your situation and then go through and figure out which visa is most applicable.

You then follow the instructions.

Immigration Canada don't tailor to individual situations rather you have to tailor to the visa that give's you what you desire.

Unless you are giong to convince your sister to move based on the PNP options the sensible thing to do it google the immigration site of whichever province she is in and see if it offers family sponsorship. The federal goverment (CIC) dont control the provincial programs.

They deal with application paperwork, they are not there to decide which application you send them.

For that you have to either do the legwork yourself, or hope someone here has similar circumstances and can share, or get an evaluation from an immigration consultant (many offer free initial consultations/ assessments), who hopefully is clued up on all the available options.

There's some questions here that might direct you (or put you off - depending on the answers you give).

I don't think anything in your post is useful to people trying to help you. The critical point is what your husband does "around the world". (Or although there's no mention of your skills/profession, what you do).

It might also help if you confirm which part of Canada you've fallen in love with, and where your sister is... as a starter.

Area is Ontario. He works in security. And ideally he'd like to continue. Is that possible? Being based there but working in another country?

I've emailed immigration and have also looked at holiday visas and see you can extend them while you're there, but not sure if I can enrol the children in school if we're there under one of those.
