Hi,
I'm a nurse looking to go out with my OH (also a nurse) to BC. I know from our experiences of being assessed eligible to work - subject to criminal record check, passing the exam etc - that the more recently you qualified the easier (and therefore quicker) they find it.
With regards to being an EN I don't know if they'd recognise it in the way that they'd let you practice as an RN. What I do know that there is something called a licensed practical nurse (LPN - although it is called a registered practical nurse -RPN- in other provinces that don't have a separate pysch nurse as they are called RPN's too...it gets confusing!).
The LPN's have a shorter period of training and a different exam so think they probably would equate to EN qualification but I'm not wholly sure on that. You'd still need registration with the regulatory body - think it's the same people as the RN's have but my researching has only really covered BC so not much help there. If you know the name of the regulatory body look them up on the net then maybe ring them or email if still not clear. My experiences of questions regarding registration have so far been good.
Also try looking up some of the health authority websites as they usually have good info on them and most have links to nursey stuff as well as giving you an idea of jobs out there.
Hope this helps

I have never seen anyone posting on here about being a EN or about getting LPN on the back of a UK qualification.
