I need some general advice about living in and around saskatoon.

We are planning to move out to Saskatchewan in late October but are not sure yet where to live.

We will be visiting on the 28th of this month for 3 wks.

Is there anything we can do to help? We've been here for about two months so we don't know everything but will help with anything we can. It's a really good choice (although you will hear the reverse from loads of people who haven't been here!). We're in Arbour Creek in mls.ca zone 1 which is a bit of a building site at the moment but will pass in time. I'll be really interested to hear where your're coming from and what you've chosen Sask...be prepared to be asked that one over and over again...
people here are really flexible...there's always a solution to everything, you just have to think laterally. If you need an initial place to rent, please let me know...I have a real good recommendation to make.

I was just being nosy - what do you mean by mls.ca "zone 1"? I thought you meant Arbour Creek was a subdivision but when I searched it - nothing came up.

I agree with what you say though - all kinds of people who have never set foot in Saskatchewan give you their opinion of what its like here. I have no idea why they think they know!

hi we are in the process of trying to emigrate to canada from england(bournemouth)and we are going to live in regina,i have lived in regina before and have found that it is a very safe city to live in and you can get so much for your money,we are hopefully going to buy a nice house with no mortgage and still hav emoney left over,i have family in regina who emigrated over25 years ago and would never move back to england,we just find the waiting to be the hardest part of the whole process,fingers crossed .mark

Hi sorry got a bit surprised that I could actually help someone for a change!!!
Have a look at www.mls.ca then narrow it down from saskatchewan to Saskatoon. My area, Arbour Creek is in 'area one' (as opposed to areas two three four and five, so when you search you'll get stuff here and Forest Grove, Erindale, Silver Spring, Sutherland and probably College Park/College Park East (can't remember exactly) but it's north east of the city and in it's new building phase.
