I was wondering if there were any Brits, or Scots in particular, in Calgary, and what you think of it.

I lived in Montreal :PARTY: for a few years and loved it, and now live in Vancouver and don't love it so much! I've read that many young people are now moving to Calgary and that it is more affordable in terms of housing. I've been thinking of moving there at some point, and also think I might have a better chance of finding work as my experience has been with oil companies in Scotland. The cold in winter doesn't bother me having already lived in Quebec, so that's not an issue. For me Vancouver just has no "vibe".

Anyone have any input? Thanks!

Hi you could go on the calgaryimmigrant.ca website and then the message board it will introduce you to lots of people.

Thanks for that website. I've been on there a few times and got so much information, and made many contacts already! Looks like Calgary is the place for us.
