Hi,
I'm very unsure about taking the next step. I've been offered jobs in both Calgary and Edmonton ranging between $66-72K per annum. I've a wife and two kids, will be renting a 3, maybe 4 bedroom house in suburbs and will try to lease a car. Taking into account taxes will we be able to live comfortably? You may ask me to check other threads.. i've searched endlessly and no two situations are the same.
Thanks for your help

It might be tough to buy a house in Calgary unless you have a big down payment. I know you want to rent to begin with but you will most likely want to buy at some point.

You are absolutely correct no two situations are the same, nor are they going to be.
Did you find this thread in your search.

When you get down to my post keep in mind that I do live in Calgary.

Cheers

$66k in Edmonton I would imagine would be ok.
If you look on www.homerent.ca you will get an idea of what rental will cost you.
