From: Was Calgary back in Edmonton again !!











If i were to return to the UK permanently in the 1st quarter of 2014... say Feb/Mar how would i claim any tax refund for 2013 and 2014 from the UK?

Inform the CRA of your change of address. Then just file tax returns at the appropriate time. They keep adding to the number of returns that can be filed online but you may have to mail your returns to the International Tax Services Office in Ottawa.

Yes. You file the regular Alberta resident tax return but on the front page you will tick the box to say that you were an emigrant during the year and put in the date you left. You need to prorate the personal amounts you claim on Schedule 1 and AB428.
