I use to regularly freeze my hair on purpose and I've never had that happen to me or seen it happen to any of my hair-freezing friends - even with attempts! I just looked on Snopes and can't find anything... but I think this 'hair freezing til it breaks' business is a suburban legend. Anyone know for sure though?

I suspect a wind up (but must admit to having to clean my montior after I read it ). You will find that the forum in question is largely populated by young impressionable innocents, hard-core backpackers and trolls (with a few honorable exceptions of people who are also members here with identical IDs for both fora ). The humour (intentional or not) tends to reflect this.

The Canadian forum there is always good for a laugh (even if you can smell a troll) and the subheadings tend to reflect this (although somebody posted that they were very upset by the poisonous kangaroos reference recently)

Sounds like the couple in question just need a job in a frozen food warehouse and a can of compressed air
