Develop a speech impediment, perhaps through having some sort of boil grow in your mouth. That way you can experience people nearly understanding what you say, but not quite.

With hindsight, and if internet info resources had existed back then to the extent they do today, I probably wouldn't have come/stayed as long as I have. But who knows whether the next (putative) destination would have been better, worse or same sh*t different bucket... :) |
