Dear Chris,

According to your logic you are a potential danger to the world you live in right now ! That's because you came from a country that was actively supporting terrorism - Romania.

Of course, you will say 'No way !' and then maybe use that little 'f'-word you seem to like so much when you are angry.

I'll tell you what I'm talking about and maybe, maybe you'll be able to follow.

As far as I know the former president of your country, Ceausescu, was a close friend of Yasser Arafat. Well, there's nothing bad being his friend, only that at that time Arafat and the PLO were considered to be terrorists by the rest of the world.

Arafat was the bin Laden of the 70's. (Whether that was justified or not is not the point here) He often visited Romania, and his friend Ceausescu supported him financially BIG times. Many people were assassinated by the PLO.

You were a citizen of Romania at that time. Now, does that make you a supporter of terrorism ?

Probably not.

Same thing with people from other countries. The fact that somebody comes from Pakistan(or any other country) doesn't make him a danger. There is indeed clear danger coming from those countries and the western world has to be extremely careful when letting people in.

Nevertheless let's not consider the WHOLE muslim world a menace. If we did that you should be 'one of them'. Your country supported terrorism after all.

Don't see everything in black & white. Think, think, think, and when you think you are done thinking, think a little bit more.

I'm not starting an argument, just trying to show you a bigger picture.

I have 2 comments:

1. How many romanians who was involved in "terrorist acts" do you know?
Thinks now to other nations is you can find the true "terrorist" who belong
to. I don't want to call a special nation(there are many) but the fact that
few of them hijack or put bombs is not making a whole nation "terrorists".
But that's why some country like USA or Canada are doing more substantial
"security check" for the potential immigrants from there. So Chris was
right.

I'm sure you know that only citizent from "certains" countries are fingered
(mandatory) when entering to US.

2. Ceausescu was the leader of the last comunist gouvernment, 13 years ago.
Comunism was also present in Russia or Germany (est), Hungary or Bulgaria.
I can assure you Russia or Bulgaria acts in the same way like Romania, but
you cannot call them "terrorist countries". Or you can?

So, your logic and your sample have nothing to prove.

Don't enter in this area please, if you don't know the facts, don't attack
please a country only to be able te get you answer to a specific person.

This is my opinion and I don't pretent knowing everything, nether I don't
want to offence anybody..

Few facts for you: for over 13 years I have been enjoying the best time in
my life. Why? Living in the most superior society of the world called
Western World can't be described in ordinary words. Maybe a writer,
novelist, poet can do it, I am not one of them. Immediately after I defected
from that Eastern-European country I just renounced my citizenship. Simply
as that. I still have some real estates over there, belonging to my mother
who is now with me in Toronto, that's why she is doing pretty good,
financially, for a 75 ys old woman.
My country? CANADA. Me? CANADIAN CITIZEN. Are you implying that Canada is
supporting terrorist attacks, cowerless acts against USA and Israel?
My friend, when you get into a discussion with me you gotta really know all
the facts, because what you just said is pure CRAP.
But just for yourself, NO eastern-European was EVER involved in
INTERNATIONAL TERRORISM as 9/11 or 1972 Summer Olympic Games, or as a
suicide bomber like all those Palestinians crossing from West Bank into
Israel (a country and nation that I respect tremendously). Eastern-Europeans
are all Christians, white, most of them, if not all, are pro-Westerners,
some of them are already in NATO, the others are waiting to become members.
Yes, there is a social problem with a very small minority, I'm talking about
gypsies (a group of nomads part of the East-Indian family), everybody
overthere would like to see them going back to India where they were all
coming from.
That has never been any sort of FANATISM towards Western World in Eastern
Europe, and we are thankful that US has helped us putting pressure on Soviet
Union to tier down the Wall (Remember Ronald Reagan's speech near the Berlin
Wall: Mr. Gorbatchev, please tier down the Wall!) and bring democracy in
that area. And I will never forget that Radio Free Europe and Voice of
America were on the air because of the US's intentions to keep us alive.
Also UK's BBC. Western World has never abandon us, therefore thank you USA,
thank you UK, thank you Western World!
I am very proud to live in a beautiful country, Canada, I am proud to be
part of the most civilized society, the Western World!
