Thankyou so much for the fabulous replies and warm welcome!
Sorry it has taken so long to reply, We have been trying to get so much advice and I am ashamed to say I didnt check back to my original post, please forgive me! I felt quite tearful when I saw what lovely replieds we recieved, although we are unsure of what to do regarding our move because of the high property market and cost of living around Edmonton.
Thanks so much again
Julie

We are off to Edmonton too with Capital Health, my wife is going to the Royal Alexander's Gynae unit, we hope to fly next month in time for our daughter to start senior high in September - Good luck, keep in touch if you want any info as we will be a few months ahead of you
Also probably heading for the same hospital! Unit Manager on either General Surgical or Oncology Ward. I hope your move goes smoothley! We are just concerned regarding the house prices and cost of living and worried that we wont be able to find affordable property. Would love to keep in touch if you wanted.
Good Luck Julie and Bill]

Hi, welcome to the forum and best of luck with the research.
House prices have gone crazy here over the last 2 yrs, but if you don't mind a bit of a commute, then prices get cheaper the further out of the city you go.(not in all cases I should add, but you tend to get a bit more for your dollar)
Sherwood Park where we are is wonderful, St Albert and Beaumont would be my other choices around the city.
Best of luck.
