WAGEinfo is a sub-site of the Alberta Learning Information Service (ALIS). WAGEinfo displays the results of the 2005 Alberta Wage and Salary Survey.
Survey
Alberta Human Resources and Employment, in partnership with Human Resources and Skills Development Canada and Alberta Economic Development and Alberta Advanced Education, commissioned the 2005 Alberta Wage and Salary Survey.
The Alberta Wage and Salary Survey is conducted every two to three years to gather information from employers on wages and salaries for full-time and part-time employees in Alberta. The information is broken down by occupational group, geographic area and industry group.
By providing accurate wage data, the government can help industry members make informed compensation decisions and develop competitive hiring policies. Other uses include settling injury disputes, wage negotiation and providing career advice. The survey results will also be used as information for many government initiatives and enquiries related to the provincial labour force.
We thank all employers who participated in the 2005 survey. As a result, the quality of wage information available to all Albertans remains outstanding.
