You will struggle to find a bad area in Calgary. Lots of people slate the N.E. but the vast majority that do, I suspect, have never been there.
Have a look at the City of Calgary website. It provides most of the info you seek. |

What areas of Calgary do you define as "bad" and why?;) |

Thanks for the info, so more info needed if poss on the following:
Real Estate Agents Places to live (nice decent areas) Transportation to and from the city for work etc Walking areas, rivers etc? Thanks again I have worked in Toronto (lived in Oakville) and lived in Calgary. I would choose Calgary over Toronto, but it really is a very personal choice as we all like different things. Good luck with your move. |

Traffic is worst on the west side of the city, but eventually they will finish the ring road (November 2017 is the currently scheduled date). Walking areas, rivers etc? Basically if you live near the rivers or the reservoir you are near a park with lots of paths, but on the other hand you're also living in the flood plain. |

Okay, snow on the ground for 7 months and warm enough to leave the house without gloves on 4 months. So only slight exaggeration:rofl: Not so much in the way of chinooks in Red Deer, our snow pile has only been gone for 3 or 4 weeks.

OMG, this girl was telling me today about how awful Applewood is and it's full of druggies, etc. and I replied: "Err, you're from Alberta aren't you... thought so." No appreciation of what a really bad area is like.
