I am shortly going to apply through IQAS for my Canadian equivalency qualifications.

I have a BA Hons university degree in Accounting and Finance and 3 A-Levels. I also have 9 GCSE's but can not seem to find the certificates for these.

What I want to know is whether my degree and A-Levels will be enough to provide an accurate report or will I also need my GCSE certificates? I would have thought the further education would take precedence but would appreciate people's views.

Hi, We met with canadian consultant on Saturday. He advised us that GCSEs are just counted in years of standard education ie; equivilent to high school diploma and not to bother getting them transposed. Also said to beware of IQUAS if there is no clear direct translation of qualifications, then the words 'appears to be equal to' may appear on your letter and the cic often discounts these qualifications.

I simply need the qualifications to be equivalent to a Canadian High School Grade 12. I just need to know whether I need to bother trying to find my GCSE certificates as my A-Levels and BA Hons degree will surely show I meet the criteria.

Tim I have just sent my btec s and NVQ3s off along with GCSEs to IQAS. I was requested by the alberta boiler safety association to use this company to get equivalency checks carried out it states that they do not offer exact equivalency but general similar standards. ABSA are happy for these sort of comparisons which is pretty much the same if you ask me! there is no way they can be exact matches when it s a completely
different syllabus ect! process takes approx 8 weeks.
