Alberta Car Insurance
I am moving to Edmonton in May this year from the UK. I have had a couple of car quotes that are extremely high !!.
I have heard a rumour that in Alberta the authorities are thinking of having a maximum premium for new drivers of $1800. Given my quotes were around $4500 this would mean a significant saving for me.
Can anyone please advise whether this is going to happen or whether it is just a rumour,
Cheers

A maximum benchmark (entry-level) premium is going to be announced, but it has not been yet. I think it will quite substantially higher than $1,800. My guess would be about double that.
