Beautiful pictures kathleen_cg and Hangman, I can’t wait to see it with my own eyes. Maybe in few months…

I just hope that the doctor has sent our medicals to the embassy before he went on vacation…

Wonder how the rednecks will spend there bit?

Stunning!
Wow, nothing like that around here! I like the concept of Alberta resident green fee...smacks of gouging the tourists to me!

Best value around here by far is this, although this other new "ridge" course looks nice too. I'm too cheap to pay $80 for an unknown entity though... if I only has a spare $1200, hmm

It gets colder in Alberta, and for longer, but the Chinook winds come through southern alberta and warm everything up for a little while in the winter every now and then, and then its back into frigid mode again. Some people see that as a good thing, some people see it as a bad thing. I guess until you've lived with it its hard to say which!

In Ontario once its cold it stays moderately cold (by canadian standards...) for a few months, we get a few dumps of snow, but the sun shines nearly all the time and you know what to expect pretty much.

Out east they can get huge dumps of snow off the Atlantic, sometimes several feet at once

In coastal BC it gets wet. Its not known as the wet coast for nothing.

I hear interior of BC is alright, Kelowna and around there, but I dont think the Chinooks apply there.

I'd rather have the combination of mountains and freaky weather than smog or rain, but then again, I'm in the above category.
