Hi All,
We want to take some personal items and ornaments when we go to Edmonton in April. Can anyone suggest the best way to ship these across? The amount probably wouldn't warrant even half a container, and the quotes from shipping firms I've had are ridiculous!
Thanks

Hi Wigan_Lass
Welcome to BE, I hope you enjoy being part of our community. I've moved your thread into the Canada forum for you.
I'm sure you must be getting excited as your move date comes closer. I don't know anything about shipping to Canada, as I live in the US, but I'm sure some other members will be along soon who will share some tips. In the meantime be sure to read our page on shipping in the wiki. It's packed full of info about shipping to Canada that members have shared over the years and you may find something useful in it.

Thanks Sue,
Will remember the threads topic in future!
Miss Clinique,
I am currently in a real wrangle with hubby as he wants to take all our sofas, TVs, wood carvings, etc. We've had 4 quotes so far ranging from £2k to £3.5k. Hubby insists that it will be cheaper than replacing all items (just less than half a container), but he forgets that we're moving into a furnished apartment, and the fact that whilst we might not want our sofas straight away, he will definitely want the TV and my son will want his toys!

Furniture here is very expensive, you should look at some websites here on furniture prices, then weigh up shipping costs, and storage costs here for your stuff.

After a bit of research, I think it means it will work, but I won't have the digital tuner facility in NTSC. Not sure if this will matter or not????

Look in the manual, or on the back of the tv for the power voltage info.
