Default Air Canada rouge anyone?

Hi
Does anyone know more about Air Canada's newest venture, Rouge, other than the usual media blurb?
It sounds like a budget arm, to compete with Air Transat. For UK visitors coming out here to visit, I'm wondering how low in frills it can be...they need gadgets & entertainment so will require pre-warning asone to what to expect...I've heard there are not meals included and no in-flight movies etc...anyone know any more?
Thanks

Rumour has it they will employ younger cabin staff wearing a Hooters style of uniform. They will serve Tim Hortons coffee and gourmet sandwiches and show classic Canadian TV shows such as Anne of Green Gables and music by Stompin Tom Connors/Rita MacNeil and Avril Lavigne.
Phrases such as Do you want a pillow eh will be spoken in both official languages.
To attract your attention they will use Moose callers.

The only UK destination to start with will be Toronto to Edinburgh starting July 1 2013. They will be using Boeing 767-300 for overseas flights. Dublin will be added in 2014. So far there is no word on other UK flights. Just keep checking the web site.
All European flights will have meals provided and onboard duty free items for sale. As for entertainment, not sure if in flight movies will be provided. Best check with Hooters before take off.

You do know Dublin isn't in the UK right? Hasn't been since 1922.

The rellies have booked to fly shortly after that date from Edinburgh! The words 'guinea' and 'pig' spring to mind...

Thanks though, will keep an eye on Air Canada's website - they apparently plan to offer movies to PEDs 'for a fee'...perhaps Hooters would know more...

Yes, I am aware that Dublin is not in the UK. However, I did mention European destinations. Just in case it escaped you.

They are advertising a lot in Edinburgh at the moment as they are allegedly doing cheapo flights to Toronto. I did an online quote and it was cheaper to go with BA!
