Hi All,
After mulling it over for a few months (and discussing at length with friends and family), i've decided i'm taking the plunge and would love to move to Canada (Toronto specifically).
I already have a few friends out there, and work in the film industry in a skilled, specific and fairly senior position with contacts out there (though I haven't discussed employment), and the film industry is currently expanding massively out there. My skills are transferable into other industries and i'm not averse to leaving it temporarily / permanently in order to emigrate (i'm very aware from working here in the UK on the difficulties on getting a job in the media). Should probably add i'm under 28 and have the financial means to support myself whilst I job hunt/ get established.
Now the problem is that, as many of you have done - I'm doing this alone and am getting caught up in circles trying to get my head around the paperwork and have decided I need to get some actual help on cutting through this. - I'm guessing I need a permanent resident/ work visa as appose to the work holidays of which seem fairly straight forward (but I guess limit into the field of work you can do).
I've looked online and found there are literally tons of agencies that can assist with this, but I'm also aware of just how many scams exist out there and the fact i'm parting with money and personal information.
So my questions is - could I get any personal recommendations to agencies that have helped members of this forum move?
Any advice at this stage would be a massive help!

Did you read the Wiki (blue bar at the top of the page)?
Your options are limited and I would have thought that yours is the type of industry that requires on-the-ground networking.
As you qualify for the working visa, why not take advantage of it as a means to get to Canada and work legally? You can always make your application for PR once you are in the country and settled.
My point is: I do not believe that any kind of agency is going to be able to help you more than you can help yourself. If you have sufficient funds, then why not go and stay there for 6 months on a tourist visa and try to get into the industry through a TWP?

It's not that hard to fill out the paperwork
