Yes. I should move there. Maybe I'll do that when the ex is dead.

Don't tell me - as well as the clause about providing an SUV with leather you are contractually bound to continue living in Canada (presumably so as not to be out of reach of Canadian legal jurisdiction)?

No. It's just that I don't think I could make enough to pay the alimony if I moved somewhere else.

Think Ian is looking for a job in BC... I'm considering the GTA, will offer you my CV/Resume if you're interested.....
Going rate would depend both on your skills and on the company. If you're especially good, or you have skills that are particularly in demand, you can get more. A company with more money than God can afford higher salaries, but might not be the most exciting place to work. $65k to $85k would cover most intermediate to senior positions.

I'm very happy to look at resumes, though I can't promise anything will come of it. PM me if you're interested.

Hi there Cornmatthew,

I'd be interested in Downtown Toronto, I'm a Desktop support/3rd line guy with plenty of Exchange and AD experience.

A question about the cost of living, after all that you guys have said, we should be able to buy a house/apartment outright, will the 65-85K be ok to support myself my wife and a teenage (12) son. My initial research seems to think i would.

Thanks

Ian

All depends on your lifestyle I suppose, if your single & renting a 1 bed flat then you'll be laughing. If your married with 2 kids, Wife not working and you've got a mortgage then money would be tight.

Having said that, thousands of people in Vancouver earn far less than $35 per hr and they survive OK...
