Hey Guys,
We're looking to move pretty soon and it's time to start the old job hunt. I moved IT jobs in the UK via agencies and got on the right side of a few that always kept me in mind. Can any of you lovely expats recommend any agencies in BC, AB or ON that you'd be willing to put down here as reputable?
Thanks!
James

Try Teksystems in Vancouver:

I dealt with a guy called Marco Citton while I was looking to move from Victoria to Vancouver (which didn't happen).

Agencies aren't as big in Canada as they are in the UK. Most companies will advertise themselves and have an HR Department (could even just be one person) who goes through the resumes first. It is best to apply directly to the companies.

I don't agree with this. I think large companies generally engage one or two agencies to sift through resumes for them and refer direct enquiries to their agents.
