Advice re gaining acceptances to 2 Colleges
#1
Hi all
I have applied and am just waiting for my acceptance to come through from Capilano University in North Vancouver. My studies are due to start in Fall 09. The course is a 2.5 year Paralegal Diploma with a 6 month paid internship.
I have however also applied to Selkirk College in Castlegar for their Social Work Diploma program, 2 years duration then I could continue on to third year to study for a Social Work degree at University. It is looking likely that I may have 2 acceptances on my hand and I am finding it very difficult to choose between them.
My question is, is it okay to have 2 acceptances from two different institutions? I know that North Vancouver and Nelson/Castlegar are VERY different places but as my husband and I cannot go on a recce as we are putting all of our money into the house to sell, we would like to decide on the areas once we get there.
We intend to arrive in BC approx 2-3 months before my course starts so this would give us plenty of time to suss out the areas and visit the Colleges, see if my husband could get work etc.
I just wondered if this was possible?
Thanks in advance

Caitlin, I have some friends who are BC based, Nelson in particular. They tell me it's gorgeous and very much a "hippy" feel to it.....Vancouver I understand is way more busy busy and expensive. An idea that may be worth your while is looking at the local newspapers.
