Hi everyone just looking for a bit of advice really iv been looking at moveing to Canada to work and live as i feel it has points that i really like ie - the great outdoors, the cold weather i love snowboarding walking etc. What i would like some info on if anyone has any personal experiance in working in my field.
A few of the lads i work with have worked in canada before and say it was an amazing experiance and they only returned for family reasons which as iam single and childless wont apply to me.
Iam a fully qualified spray painter with city and guilds level 1,2,3 and nvqq level 3 aswell as specialist experiance in waterborn paint systems which in the uk we have used for many years and i know the rest of the worl is going this way to comply with voc solvent regulations and i have 10years experiance with this type of material.
If anyone has any information it would be very welcome and what areas should i be looking at? would like to live in the british speaking areas aas my french is awfull.
Thank you for looking.

My Husband is same trade, which got us into Canada 6 years ago.
Dont even look to Ontario for employment in this trade, its been hit hard in the last few years, and theirs not much out there. Not sure about anywhere else. Im sure someone will be along who knows.
He also works in water based products, so if you need just general info on anything work related, let me know.

The average wage in Ontario is $20 to $30 an hour, we are however, in the south of Ontario, and I think you get more closer to Toronto.
Its enough for a good standard of living around here, house prices are cheap, but cost of living is rising. His work isnt guaranteed though, no work, no wage. The last few months has seen him at home rather than at work, luckily Im a hairdresser and everyone needs their haircut.
