Hi. on the checklist its asking for letters of recommendation from public officials or from respected private citizens. so what happens if i don't know anybody that can provide that information . and If i manage to get somebody what would i get them to write.

The truth. How long have they known you and how well. What they know about you and what you do and have done. Do they know about the incident and how you have reacted after it and what you have done since? All this without the BS or lying for you.
