I have to agree, Montreal last winter compared to the one before was extremely mild in terms of shovelling snow and ice/snow storms. Just lots of bright blue cloudless skies and crisp dry snow to sledge/walk on. Yes, it was cold but dry and sunny so could still get out in the right clothing, us AND the young kids. It is when it is driving snow and freezing ice that you have to worry as you can't drive and walk so easily but the cold is more easily dealt with. It is the wind and the falling snow that is a problem.

Well, anyway, yesterday I was swimming in the lake in my bikini so let's see what this winter brings....

You wet province's have all the exercise. Hardly have any snow here. the pile from the drive was only 5 v 5 x 15 ft. and that;s after 6/7 months of winter

And its so light and fluffy even the deep stuff you only walk up and down the drive pushing it 10 minutes all done. People buy snow blowers and use them to remove drifting snow. bit like fine sand here.
I don't push the snow to the sides of the drive but around the corner keeping the front as low as possible. Blows straight thru to the neighbours snow dunes.
